Each candidate is launched in one of the three distinct feature length compilations depending on their nomination category: live action, animation or documentary. Launch in recent years, Oscar® nominated short films have been launched in over 700 US and Canada theaters, obtaining reviews in each major news store, from The Hollywood Reporter, Variety and Deadline to New York Times. The films were also released annually in a growing number of theaters around the world, including the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Holland, Belgium, Spain, India, South Africa, Mexico, Chile, China and Australia, Among other things, which makes it a truly international launch.
